Q: How does check-in work?

Self check-in with a keypad code for the front door and garage, changed for every guest. Check-in is 4:00 PM and checkout is 11:00 AM. An in-person welcome is available on request.

Q: Is there air conditioning and WiFi?

Yes: central air conditioning, fast WiFi, and streaming-ready TVs, with room to set up a laptop for remote work.

Q: Can we bring our dog?

Yes. It's $50 per pet, per stay (two standard, three with prior approval). The yard is fully fenced for off-leash time; pets stay off furniture and beds indoors.

Q: Where do we park a boat or RV?

A 3-car garage plus room for three more in the driveway. One boat, trailer, or RV can park out front; backyard gate access is case-by-case.

Q: What's the minimum stay?

Usually a week in peak summer, with 3-night weekends opening about a week out if dates are available. Monthly stays are the best value.

Mickey and I built this place to be the kind of summer house we'd want to stay in: somewhere a family or a group can land for a weekend or settle in for the whole month. We live close by, so you're never far from a helping hand. Check-in is an easy keypad code, and if you'd like us to come say hi and walk you through the place in person, just ask. We're glad to.

You're not booking through a management company or a call center. You're staying at our house, and we treat you the way we'd want to be treated. We answer fast (usually within the hour), we're honest about the place, and we're glad you're here.

Is the house right on the lake?

Not on the water, but half a mile from the public boat launch, which puts Cross Lake (938 acres) and Pokegama (1,536 acres) right at your fingertips. You can also walk or bike into downtown Pine City for restaurants, the brewery, and groceries.

How does check-in work?

Easy self check-in with a keypad code for the front door and garage, unique to your stay. Check-in is 4:00 PM and checkout is 11:00 AM. If you'd like an in-person welcome and walkthrough, just ask and we'll come by.

Is there air conditioning and WiFi?

Yes. Central air conditioning, fast WiFi, and streaming-ready TVs. It's a comfortable base for remote work, too: plenty of room to set up a laptop while everyone else is at the lake.

How do the TVs work?

All three TVs are smart TVs. Sign into your own streaming accounts like Netflix or Hulu, or cast straight from your phone using the house WiFi. Please sign out of your accounts before checkout. Purchases are locked behind a PIN we keep on our end, so nothing can be charged to you.

Can we bring our dog?

Absolutely. It's $50 per pet, per stay (two standard, three with prior approval). The yard is fully fenced for off-leash time anytime. We just ask that pets stay off the furniture and beds indoors. Banning State Park is 20 minutes north for trail walks.
